Winter Blues Twisted Headband Pattern

Hey y'all! So exciting news, I have a FREE headband pattern for you! Feel free to sell any finished items from this pattern, but please do not sell the pattern itself and please give credit to me as the designer! This pattern has been tested multiple times by myself along with Cassandra Armsworthy, Tiffany Enos, and Suzy Taylor! This headband works up fairly quick (under 2 hours) and can be made with a few colors if you wanted to. This is a perfect substitute if you don't like to wear hats or if someone you want to gift it to doesn't either. It is meant to go along with my Twisted Slouch Beanie as a set along with a pattern that will be following soon!

If you would like a PDF version of this pattern, with all the pictures at the end, you can get it on my etsy for $2 (Coming February 1st). This allows me to continue writing patterns that I can post on here for free. Also check out my Etsy for the other patterns that I have created.

Onto the pattern:

I would say this isn't the best for a new beginner, but a more experienced beginner at the least.

Supplies:

1 Skein of I love this Yarn from Hobby Lobby (other 4 weight yarns may work up bigger/smaller, but it could be adjusted)

5 mm hook (I use Boye)

Yarn Needle for weaving in ends

Gauge: 7 stitches x 6 rows = 2 inches long, 1.75 inches high

Finished measurements: 3.75-4 inches wide, 9.75-10 inches long

Stitches:

Ch- ChainSC- Single Crochet

HDC- Half Double Crochet

Camel Stitch- HDC in 3rd loop of HDC below

DC- Double Crochet

Crossed DC- Skip a stitch, DC in next, DC in skipped stitch

Slst- Slip Stitch

Pattern Notes:

The first round is worked in the hump of the chain rather than the two loops that stitches are typically worked in. This creates a “pretty” bottom to the headband. Refer to pictures if needed.

Chain 1’s do not count as first stitch and your first should go in the same stitch as the chain, Chain 3’s do count as first stitch
